An early autumn season of events presents perfect reasons to visit all three of Ripon's Museums.
Our main exhibition at the Workhouse, on loan from the prestigious Horniman Museum, will be Rainforest of the Sea. Running from 7th September to 2nd December, this stunning photography exhibition will show the wonders of the Borneo coral triangle. Come along for close encounters with a longhorn cowfish, a bumblebee shrimp and a hairy squat lobster.
National Heritage Week opens up Museums to visitors free of charge and gives us an opportunity to put on some fun events. So come along on 8th September for guided tours of the Workhouse Museum and try your hand at baking the very traditional Wilfra Cakes.
It's not always fun in the workhouse though - and on 29th September it's actually MURDER! A murderer lurks in the workhouse corridors - and it's up to you to solve the mystery! Tickets are £25 and include a 3-course meal, a drink and 1920s props.
We're asking you to be the Judge at our interactive sentencing event at the Regency Courthouse Museum on 4th October. We'll describe the crime and you decide the sentence. Tickets are £8 and include wine and cheese.
