Courses in Functional English; IT; Bookkeeping; Accounting

FUNCTIONAL ENGLISH

Community House, Allhallowgate Tuesdays, 10.00am - 12.00pm

This course is for people who want to improve their English skills, such as spelling and grammar, and who currently do not hold a qualification. Qualification levels are Entry 3 to Level 2.

The course will also be of benefit to those who wish to improve their skills prior to joining a GCSE course in the next academic year.

FUNCTIONAL SKILLS - ICT

Improve your career prospects with an IT qualification.

This course is for learners who want to have an overview of computers and wish to gain a functional IT qualification. At the end of the course you will be able to work more confidently and effectively in your job, home, or with IT in general.

The course includes word processing, spreadsheet, database, internet & email.

AAT LEVEL 1 AWARD IN BOOKKEEPING

Fridays in March, 12.00pm - 3.00pm

The qualification introduces learners to the role of a bookkeeper, how to understand financial documentation and learn single-entry bookkeeping. It will also cover the principles of cash and credit transactions and familiarise students with the use of spreadsheets in finance.

AAT LEVEL 2 CERTIFICATE IN ACCOUNTING

Tuesdays in April, 6.00pm - 9.00pm

You'll develop your skills in finance administration: double-entry bookkeeping, basic costing principles and purchase, sales, and general ledgers.
