Ripon Museums Volunteering Fair
Find out about volunteering with Ripon Museums at a volunteering fair at the Workhouse museum. Drop in anytime between 11am and 6pm on 13 September.
Set up in 1982, The Ripon Museum Trust is a small independent trust located at the heart of our community in Ripon, North Yorkshire. We are a registered charity running three museums; The Workhouse Museum, The Prison and Police Museum and The Courthouse Museum. We have an amazing team of over 100 volunteers who are vital in the running, administration, management and leadership of the organisation.
As Ripon Museum Trust is expanding, we now have a variety of new opportunities available across our museum activities. Becoming a volunteer at your local museums is rewarding, interesting and can lead to new friendships, skills and opportunities.
We need more volunteers to keep our 3 museums open, welcoming visitors and sharing the stories of those who lived and worked here. Would you like to get involved?
Our curatorial and learning teams have some new roles, this could be researching local history, preparing an exhibition, conserving our building and collections or working with children and schools or helping to take the museums out into the community.
There is a volunteering role for everyone whatever your experience, talents and interest so why not give it a go?
