Join us at the Workhouse Museum this half term to explore the smells and tastes of history in our fabulous family friendly events..
Each day, from Monday to Friday this February half term, you will be able to try your hand at baking, making concoctions, creating crafts, enjoying Punch and Judy shows, following fun trails and lots more. Plus this is also chance to take a closer look at our Victorian Workhouse and kitchen garden, one of the best preserved in England located in the heart of Ripon, North Yorkshire
Using a traditional recipe try your hand at Baking Bread, which was an important part of the daily diet for inmates of all ages in the Workhouse.
Concoct your own Smelling Salts, a popular cure for fainting in Victorian times then explore hidden corners of the Victorian Workhouse whilst following the Consumption Apple Trail
Create apple themed crafts then have a giggle and sit down whilst enjoying the museum's popular Victorian themed Punch and Judy show - fun for all ages!
Our drop in "Apples and Arsenic" activities are all in the Workhouse Museum each day between 11am and 3pm.
The good news is all activities are free, but please note that normal museum entry prices apply.
